We came upon this today while driving from St. Petersburg to Tampa. They had ample opportunity to pull off the interstate before the bridge, but nope. They seemed completely unaware that their day was about to get really crappy.

No shit, my car did that like month ago. Happened about a mile from work, I kept driving right to the shop around the corner. Turns out my belt shredded and took the upper radiator hose with it. Temp gauge just started to rise as I was pulling in.
I hope no one has a video of me.

Poor little CX-7... That MZR 2.3 turbo motor was just not built to put up with suburban SUV neglect. I hope the new turbo 2.5 in the CX-9 has better luck.

Saw a pickup that was smoking like that on the highway a month or so ago. Went all the way over to the left lane (across five lanes of traffic) and drove for a bit before giving up and getting off the road. Whatever it was smoking had some oil or something in it, blinded the truck in front of me enough that he had to pull over. I just got some droplets, but didn’t dare run the wipers for fear of smearing whatever it was.
